The last time I put finger to key Donald Trump was president , the Tories were in office , and around the world billionaire were being created . Wealth was being transferred from working people to the rich , to make them extra rich , houses were becoming unaffordable , to rent or buy , bank crisis’s had reduced us to an austerity economy , but a very selective austerity , and the climate was heading for crisis , taking us with it .
How times change .
In the mean time I have plodded on , despite a couple more health crisis . The camera now takes a big slice of my creative life , but i am still working on 3D and lino , all of which should be appearing here .
One project , my personal history of Walthamstow , has seen me in a two month funk when I lost all my data , and has taken me to church . Not to the church , but to a church , I have been frottaging the brasses , with my friend Val , in St Mary’s , up in “the village” . It seems the only image of George Monoux , a founding father of Walthamstow , is to be found there . The loss of data has caused a delay in this work coming to fruition , but hopefully it will be back on track soon , watch this space .
Other things are waiting for the weather to warm up . Unfortunately I have chronic anaemia , and cannot get warm in my studio . But I should be posting all my progress here .
